How to Create Canada Express Entry Profile?

Canadian government enables online Express Entry profile to assess whether a skilled immigration applicant is eligible to immigrate to Canada based on their profile.

The main economic immigration programs of Canada are managed through Express Entry. These are

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP):

This is program is for professional candidates seeking for Canada PR visa through Express Entry and PNP Programs. Based on their profile eligibility.

Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP):

This is program is for trade workers seeking for Canada PR visa through Express Entry and PNP Programs. Based on their profile eligibility.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC):

This is program is for those with previous, and recent, Canadian work experience.

Basic eligibility for Express Entry program?

Initially you must needed 67 points to be qualified for Federal Skilled Worker Program, to apply for Canadian permanent residence through the federal Express Entry system.

These steps to be followed, In order to create an Express Entry profile.

Step 1:

International Education Credentials Assessed (if required)

Applicants who were educated outside of Canada should have their degree assessed under following authority in order to ensure that their foreign education is equivalent to a similar Canadian education. This step is not required if applicant applying under Federal Skilled Trades Program or Canadian Experience Class

Language Proficiency:

Applicant’s applying under Express Entry system required to prove their knowledge in English or French. This test report form must be included in their Express Entry profile.

National Occupational Classification (NOC):

Applicants applying under express entry system must fall under these NOC skill stype.

  • Skill Type 0 (Management Jobs)
  • Skill Level A (Professional Jobs)
  • Skill Level B (Technical Jobs and Skilled Trades)

Step 2: Creating an Express Entry profile

Now we can proceed further for profiling part.

You must make sure the following details are as per your documents.

  • Name, as on passport or national identity document
  • Last name
  • First name
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Marital status
  • Contact Information
  • Detailed educational history
  • Detailed work experience
  • Language proficiency
  • Adaptability to life in Canada
  • Spouse or Common-law details, if required

Step 3: Submit your profile

Once your profile is submitted with all necessary information, the profile should be submitted within 60 days. You will receive:

  • Express Entry profile number
  • Job seeker validation code

Note: Creating an account and showing EOI into the pool DOES NOT mean that you will automatically be invited to apply for permanent residence. Once applicants enter the pool, they will be assessed a score using the Comprehensive Ranking System.

If one year passes without a candidate receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence, his or her profile will be deleted from the pool.
