Canada PNP Draw results for May 2022

Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) issued over 1,400 invitations to apply for provincial nomination in May.

Many smaller Canadian provinces such as Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba and Saskatchewan depend on this program to meet their demographic and labour force needs. By 2024, PNPs alone are expected to result in more than 93,000 immigrants per year being admitted as permanent residents.

Express Entry Linked PNP Programs:

Express Entry-linked PNP streams, also known as “enhanced” PNPs, allow a province to select candidates who have profiles in the Express Entry pool and invite them to apply for a provincial nomination. Express Entry candidates who get a nomination from a PNP automatically get 600 CRS points added to their application.

Total 1,134 candidates received ITA in two separate PNP Express Entry draw. Also Immigration ministry confirmed the majority of Express Entry application and Canadian Experienced Class will be resume in July 2022.

Alberta:

Total 100 candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination on May 19 under the Alberta Express Entry Stream. Invited candidates needed a CRS score of at least 382 in order to be invited.

British Columbia:

Total 636 candidates invited to apply for provincial nominations under the Express Entry British Columbia, Skills Immigration , Tech program, Entrepreneur Regional Pilot streams.

Manitoba:

Total 315 LAA (Letters of Advice to Apply) issued for provincial nominations under the Skilled Workers Program, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education stream.

New Brunswick:

As per announcement dated May 20,2022, the New Brunswick PNP Program (NBPNP) announced that it was temporarily suspending the New Brunswick Express Entry stream. This temporary pause only applies to the Express Entry stream and applications submitted on or after May 20, 2022.

Prince Edward Island:

Total 137 candidates invited from the Labour Impact and Express Entry stream and 16 Candidates invited from the Business Impact Stream.

Quebec:

Total 30 candidates invited from Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) to apply for Permanent a permanent selection under the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).

Saskatchewan:

Total 197 candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination. A total of 106 invitations went to Express Entry candidates and 91 invitations went to Occupations In-Demand candidates in that invitation round.
